After breakfast, 3-hour walking tour with a guide in the center of the capital to see the main landmarks of the city – Rotunda St.George/ a late Antique red brick rotunda, built in the early 4th century as a Roman bath, it became a church inside the walls of old Serdica town/, the Presidency building with the attractive change of guards, the Largo with the remains of the Roman Main Street, the Mineral  springs near the Central Mosque, St. Sofia Church/ the oldest church in Sofia, dating to the fourth century A.D./ Included entrances to the Archeological museum, where two of the most famous golden treasures of Bulgaria are kept and to the Cathedral Alexander Nevski - the biggest on the Balkans and main cathedral of Bulgarian Orthodox Church. Lunch in a local restaurant and departure in the afternoon by bus to Rila Monastery/ UNESCO/ - a medieval gem with stunning architecture and history. Located at the foot of the highest mountain on the Balkans – Rila, this monastery is the real soul and spirit of the country through the centuries. Sightseeing tour of the monastery and transfer back to Sofia. Overnight.

Breakfast and departure to another emblematic monastery in Bulgaria – Bachkovo monastery, beautifully located at the foot of the Rhodope Mountains, 190 km from Sofia. It is the second largest monastery in Bulgaria with long and thrilling history since the 14th century and fervently worshipped for the Miraculous Icon of Holy Mary, kept there. Sightseeing of the monastery with lunch included. Continue to one of the oldest settlements in Europe – Plovdiv, elected in 2019 as an European Capital of Culture and second biggest town in Bulgaria. The ancient city was built around 7 hills, with evidence of habitation reaching as far back as the 6th millennium BC. Accommodation in Grand Hotel Plovdiv 4* or similar. Overnight.

Breakfast and a half day walking tour in Plovdiv discovering the Old Town with its cobbled streets and beautifully restored houses from the 19^th century, The Roman Ancient Theatre of Philippopolis, which once seated around 6000, now hosts operas and concerts, the Ancient Stadium from the 2nd century A.D. , the Djumaia Mosque and others. After lunch in a local restaurant, free afternoon for private exploration of this interesting town. Overnight.

Breakfast and departure to Kazanlak  - the Rose Valley capital, where every year in June, a great festival of the Rose is organized with a variety of events dedicated to the Queen of the flowers. Visit to the Museum of the Rose and to the History Museum, where the valuable Golden Masks of the Thracian kings found in the numerous tombs nearby are kept. Lunch and visit to the UNESCO site – Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak. Discovered in 1944, this tomb dates back to the end of the 4th century BC. It is located near Seutopolis, the capital city of the Thracian king Seutes III, and is part of a large Thracian necropolis, decorated with murals representing Thracian burial rituals and culture. Afterwards, visit to the other very recently opened to public Thracian tomb – Goljamata Kosmatka.  Continue to the former medieval capital of Bulgaria – Veliko Tarnovo, visiting on the way the Russian Church with its fairytale-like architecture and a photo stop at the Shipka Monument, a historical place of great significance for Bulgaria. Arrival in Veliko Tarnovo, accommodation in Grand Hotel Yantra 4* or similar. Sound and Light Show of Tzarevetz, dinner and overnight.

A walking tour of Veliko Tarnovo, оften referred to as the "City of the Tsars”. Veliko Tarnovo is located on Yantra River, on three hills rising amidst its meanders and is known as the historical capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire. The most important hill is Tsarevets where the palaces of the Bulgarian emperors and the Patriarch stood – now only ruins. The Baldwin Tower is still preserved and it’s been named after the Latin emperor Baldwin of Flanders, who was captured in the battle of Edrine in 1205 by Bulgarian Tsar Kaloyan. Walk along the famous Samovodska Charshia market consisting of two streets with shops, where local craftsmen sell their goods. The Alley of Crafts was established in the 19th century in order to preserve the artisan skills and traditions. Departure to the town of Nessebar – one of the Gems of Bulgaria, located on the Black Sea coast, located 240 km from Veliko Tarnovo. Lunch in a local restaurant and a walking tour of the UNESCO town Nessebar. Situated on a rocky peninsula on the Black Sea, more than 3,000-year-old, Nessebar was originally a Thracian settlement. At the beginning of the 6th century BC, the city became a Greek colony. The city’s remains, which date mostly from the Hellenistic period, include the Acropolis, a temple of Apollo, an Agora and a wall from the Thracian fortifications. Among other monuments, the Basilica and the Fortress date from the Middle Ages, when this was one of the most important Byzantine towns on the west coast of the Black Sea. Morning departure to Koprivshtitsa, located at 1000 m above sea level and legendary with its history. Koprivshtitsa preserves the atmosphere of the Bulgarian National Revival period of the 19th century. The town is huddled in the mountain-folds, 111 km east of Sofia. Collections of ethnographical treasures, old weapons, National Revival works of art, fretwork, household weaves and embroidery, national costumes and typical Bulgarian jewelry have also been preserved. It was here that the first shot of the April Uprising against the Ottoman domination was fired in 1876 and led to the liberation of Bulgaria after the Russian-Turkish War in 1877-78.
