Day 01 :

Arrival in Sofia and transfer to hotel 5*

Panoramic tour of the capital of Bulgaria by bus and on foot with a local guide / 3 hours/ with included visit of Nevski Cathedral and National Museum of Archeology where the Golden Masks of the Tracian Kings are exhibited (tour availability depending on the time of the arrival flight). Dinner with special Nestinari dance on hot coals in a traditional restaurant. Overnight.

Day 02 :

Koprivshtitsa - the heart of the Bulgarian Revival

After breakfast, departure to visit Koprivshtitsa / 2 hours drive/– the heart of the Bulgarian Revival Period, where the April Uprising in 1876 led to the liberation of the country from the Ottoman empire two years later. At 1000 m high above sea level, this little town with curved and narrow cobblestone streets, has beautifully preserved 19th century historic homes with high stone walls and colorful facades. A walking tour with entrance to two of the most beautifully preserved houses – Oslekovata kashta and Kableshkovata kashta. Lunch in a traditional restaurant included. Day 03 :

The enchanting Bulgarian roses

After late breakfast, visit the nearby Museum of the Bulgarian Rose, where one can see the diversity and unique features of this precious flower / 1kg of Rose Oil is more expensive than 1kg of Gold/. Continue to see the real marvel of the Thracian culture on Bulgarian lands a millennium ago – The Thracian Tomb in Kazanlak / UNESCO/. Lunch in a local restaurant included. Departure through one of the most scenic roads on the Balkans /through mountain pass Shipka/ to Veliko Tarnovo – the former capital of Bulgaria during the Third Bulgarian Kingdom, perched beautifully above the curves of the Yantra river. Accommodation in Yantra Grand Hotel 4*, which offers an incredible view from its restaurant terrace to the powerful Sound and Light Show over the medieval fortress of Tzarevets Hill. Dinner in the hotel and overnight.

Day 04 :

Panoramic tour of Veliko Tarnovo

After breakfast, a panoramic tour of Veliko Tarnovo with a local guide revealing the dramatic history of this place through the centuries. Departure to Sofia and accommodation in 5 * hotel.

Day 05 :

A flight back home

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight back home.
